2018 World Breastfeeding Week Portrait

I'm honored to announce the details for this years third annual World Breastfeeding Week portrait in North Idaho. First, I would like to briefly share that I started this event three years ago to bring awareness to the fact there were no laws protecting breastfeeding moms in Idaho. This last February, Rep. Paul Amador (from our very own Coeur d'Alene) proposed a bill that protects breastfeeding mothers in Idaho from being charged with indecent exposure and obscenity. This bill was approved by the Idaho House, and Senate, and signed by the Governor in March with an effective date of 7/01/2018. While this new law is certainly a step in the right direction, we still have room to grow! A law that specifically protects the breastfeeding rights of mothers where ever they find themselves in Idaho would be ideal, and so this portrait opportunity continues, to celebrate the progress recently made and to push for the rights and protections families deserve. Please join me, and other breastfeeding mothers, as we stand together in unity to continue to raise awareness on this issue.

Now, for the details. The evening will begin with a brief check in, and a required signed model release. The model releases will be available in paper at the event. The images from the last two years have been shared many times over on numerous social media accounts, please be aware that the model release will require your consent for public sharing. (If a private session to capture your breastfeeding moments is a better fit, I will be offering discounted golden hour sessions during World Breastfeeding Week just for this purpose (August 1st - August 7th). Please contact me ASAP if you'd like to reserve a session.) This portrait session event was created to raise awareness for breastfeeding rights, mothers who are nursing or providing human milk to babes of any age are encouraged to join us. All participants will be provided with a free high resolution digital download of the group image, along with a free high resolution individual portrait if you desire. Individual portraits will be taken after the group image, until the sun sets! Last year, Tula collaborated with me to provide free products to all participating Mommas. Please be aware, there is no collaboration planned for this event at this time. Please attend because you're passionate about breastfeeding and rights for families! I can't wait to see you there!

The event will be:
